内容摘要：
We show that a smooth radially symmetric solution to the graphic Willmore surface equation (4th order equation) is either a constant or the defining function of a half sphere. In particular, radially symmetric entire Willmore graphs in 3-dimenional Euclidean space must be flat. We also classify radial solutions with a point singularity.

陈竞一，加拿大英属哥伦比亚大学（UBC）数学系终身正教授，美国Alfred P. Sloan基金会研究学者奖、加拿大数学会Coxeter-James奖、加拿大Killam研究奖、加拿大Andre Aisenstandt 奖获得者。1992年斯坦福大学毕业，曾在美国加州大学尔湾分校、美国西北大学、美国麻省理工学院工作。主要从事微分几何、微分方程领域的研究。是海内外华人数学家中较大影响力的青年数学家之一。
