报告摘要：We characterize  boundedness and compactness of area operators from  $H^p$ into $L^q(S_n)$ in terms of Carleson measures for  $0<p,q<\infty$ by using the Hardy-Littlewood maximal function and the theory of tent spaces  established by Coifman, Mayer and Stein in 1985. This  generalizes the corresponding result by  Gong,  Lou and  Wu on the unit disk of the complex plane C where the tools used are not available in higher dimensions, such as Calderon-Zygmund decomposition and  the strong factorization for Hardy spaces.

报告人简介：娄增建教授，数学系教授（二级）、博士生导师。研究领域 1. 调和分析: 欧氏空间 $R^n$ 及其区域上的函数空间理论； 2. 复分析: 解析函数空间及其算子理论。

娄教授现任广东省高校数学教学指导委员会委员、广东省数学会副理事长、中国数学会理事。曾任数学系主任、理学院副院长、理学院院长、汕头市数学会理事长。 师从澳大利亚科学院院士、著名数学家Alan McIntosh教授，授予博士学位(PhD)(调和分析)。1995 年评为山东省中青年学术骨干和学科带头人培养对象，获山东省教委科技进步二等奖。

现主持国家自然科学基金、广东省自然科学基金和广东省高校国际暨港澳台科技创新与合作平台项目多项。在国际知名学术期刊发表论文40余篇，多篇发表在国际权威学术杂志，如《Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.》 《Indiana Univ. Math. J.》 《Integral Equations Operator Theory》《中国科学》等。现担任美国《Mathematical Reviews》和德国《Mathematical Abstract》评论员。
