报告摘要:Dynamical systems have inspired and explained several accelerated algorithms for a wide range of optimization problems. This talk is based on some recent work on applying a smoothing approximation approach to address non-smooth, non-convex optimization. Our work is motivated by the following goal: developing a direct method for finding critical points of objective functions of real world problems where functions are known to be non-smooth and non-convex.
报告人简介:李欣,中佛罗里达大学教授、博士生导师。主要从事逼近理论、空间随机过程、计算机视觉、机器学习和人工智能等方面的研究,主持10余项国家级项目。发表国内外重要学术期刊上发表SCI论文100余篇。
